Five★ Life ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by OkieApps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Five★ Life iOS app.
Information We Collect
- Phone number — used to verify your identity and create your account
- Email address — used for account recovery and friend invitations
- Profile information — name, profile photo, and emoji avatar you choose to add
- Location — used to show you nearby businesses (only when app is in use)
- Contacts — accessed only to find friends already on the app; never uploaded to our servers
- Reviews & ratings — the content you post about businesses and services
- Subscription status — whether you have an active premium subscription, stored to unlock premium features
- Usage data — reviews, recommendations, and favorites you add
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To show you recommendations from your friends
- To help you find friends already using Five★ Life
- To display nearby businesses based on your location
- To send SMS verification codes via Twilio
- To improve and maintain the app
Contact Data
When you sync contacts, your device's contacts are used locally to match phone numbers against existing Five★ Life users. Contact information is never uploaded, stored, or retained on our servers.
Location Data
Location is only accessed when the app is in use. We do not track your location in the background.
Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google) — database storage and user data
- Twilio — SMS phone verification
- Google Maps & Places API — business search and map display
- Apple StoreKit — in-app subscription purchases
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. Your reviews are visible to your friends within the app.
Data Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. All your personal data is permanently removed upon deletion.
Children's Privacy
Five★ Life is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
